We liked the living roof over the bathroom so much we decided to retrofit the entry roof to give the front of the studio the same look. It took a bit of reinforcing and a piece of EPDM membrane to prepare the space. I went up to
Emory Knoll Farms for the sedums. They can set you up for any climate zone. Then I stopped by
Stancill's pit in Perryville, MD to get the special growing medium.

I see your roof is made of tin. Wonder what material to use to dye it for I also live in a house with a tin roof?
The building on the right with the gray roof is actually not tin but a material made from recycled paper and asphalt emulsion called Ondura.Available at Lowe's.
The one on the left is a standing seam metal roof.
